About Healing
If you look up online you will find lots of information about how to heal a tattoo, but i will write down what i have seen works best on the work i have done during the years.
THERE ARE 3 METHODS I USE/RECOMMEND:

TATTOO ARMOUR (WHITE PAD)
If we do a color piece that takes 2 hours or more i will cover the tattoo with this pad, what this pad does it's that it will suck any fluid coming out of the tattoo, here are the steps i recommend to follow in order to make it work.
- Keep it on until the next day of having the tattoo done.
- Take the pad off right in the morning, throw it away and clean your tattoo with unscented soap and cold water.
- After taking the pad off and cleaned the tattoo i recommend to let it air dry for that day, and second day as well, no lotions of any type yet, the only thing you will do its to clean it 2 or 3 times a day and let it air dry.
- On day 3 the tattoo its usually very dry and that's when i recommend to start using lotion, you will apply a thin layer of it, 2, 3 times a day or every time you see or feel it very dry.
- You will repeat this last step for up to 10 days, keep the lotion after scabs are off for a month but in less amount.

SECOND SKIN, SANIDERM, TAGERM, ETC.
I usually use this method when we work with shorter color sessions or generally when the tattoo its done with black ink only, or very low amount of color.

- Keep the bandage 3-5 days on.
- Take the bandage off within this time, if up to 5 days its great, if its before it will be good too.
- To take the bandage off i recommend to do it in the shower, get it super wet and then slowly take the bandage off your skin, throw it and now clean your tattoo.
- You don't have to be hard with cleaning, be gentle and get it cleaned as much as you can do it.
- Since day 1 with bandage off you can start using lotion, 2, 3 times a day apply a thin layer of lotion in your tattoo.
- Keep using the lotion 10 up to 20 days.
- Sometimes the bandage will leave some adhesive in your tattoo or around of it, this is normal, it will be coming off more and more every time you clean it.

POSSIBLE ALLERGIC REACTION to SECOND SKIN.
It is rare to happen but sometimes some people have allergy to this product, in case this happens to you i recommend to inn-mediately take the bandage off, clean your tattoo and let it air dry for the rest of that day, into the next day you can use lotion as usual.
- You could notice if you are allergic to this if in the first hours of having the bandage on you have a hard itchy feeling, gets super red around the bandage and/or its getting too uncomfortable in the placement the bandage its on.

REGULAR FILM PLASTIC WRAP
I use this method in the following cases:
- Very short session.
- Tattoo has been already drying during the session.
- Client knows is allergic to Second Skin or any adhesive.
- Client doesn't want to use any of the other methods.

I WILL ALWAYS ASK CLIENTS BEFORE USING ANY HEALING METHOD, CONSIDERING PAST TATTOS IF THEY HAVE AND CHOOSE THE BEST ONE ACCORDING TO WHAT WE WORKED IN THAT DAY.
